In a few seconds, Cal, Ricky and some other Mudokon were sprawled out on the floor just outside the door. Dazed, Cal raised his head.
'What the
hell...' his heart beat irregularly, and his only eye darted wildly. Quickly getting to his feet, he whipped out a small black taser that had been clipped to his belt.
'Alright, punks! We're desperate men here, and-'
'Cal, look out!' Ricky cried suddenly. Cal spun round just fast enough to see a dark blur charging towards him, before he was knocked to the ground.
Ricky started to move forwards to help collegue, but turned around; he'd just remembered, he was still being pursued.
