Oh my god, what a find! An HBO mini-series (I’d call it a drama serial, but whatever) from waaaaaay back: 2003. Angels in America. I only bought it cos I knew it had a great cast and was gay-related and was very cheap. And also that it was meant to be good, of course. It’s just an epic, epic piece of drama, incredibly intelligent (sometimes it goes to far and the fact this used to be a play sort of shows through), moving, political, theologically relevant. Fantastic stuff. Really, really brilliant. If you can get hold of it (through whatever means) then do so, cos it’s wonderful. Bit of a trek at 5 and a half hours long, but totally worth it.

Other Stuff:

The Third Man – really liked it, but wasn’t blown away by it. Not one of the greatest films of all time, which many consider it to be.

Hot Fuzz – came out on DVD today, and I snaffled a copy at Tescos (only a tenner!) during my lunch. Didn’t enjoy it as much, but then comedies are NEVER as funny as when you see them at the cinema. But it’s still a classy thing.
