I say adults are smarter! We're more educated, and have had more experience. Although, I hate it when parents say things like 'because I told you so', or 'because I'm your father/mother'. That's not a good point to answer with. It just leaves the little kiddies confused.
I especially hated it when I was sixteen - my father grabbed me in a headlock whenever he saw a panda car (police car) coming, and he shouted,
'this is the one you want! Here!'. Darn, that was embarrassing.
