I wouldn't be so rash as to say children are more clever than adults, but I'm at the age now when I see inconsitstencies in things they suggest. Ask why to any order an adult gives you, it's always 'because I said so,' if they truly lack a good reason. To me, this proves that what they said really doesn't have a good enough reason to do it. Which brings me to the other point - I've never, ever had my parents admit they're wrong and I'm right, even when the evidence is as conclusive as it gets.
