You do realise Catholicism was the original form of Christianity, right?
I think God is genderless, but reveals itself as male for the sake of convenience. There is also the problem of a woman impregnating a woman (biologically impossible) and the God the
Father aspect, and the most accurate depictions I've seen depict God as relatively masculine;
