ooc: GENERAL RULE REMINDER TIME, EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS.
A few of the RPG rules have been stretched to their limits in this thread recently. Won't name names though I may mention incidents where rules have been broken, but after a chat with Dripik, I'm posting this as a reminder to everyone. Just going to list the rules that are being overlooked. You know if they apply to you.
Don't power play: This includes characters that can do anything they want and a player who tries to take control of the plot so that it revolves just around them.
This rule ALSO covers timelines. You must try and stay in line with the time, at least with events your character is involved in. Recently a character has crossed the factory, interacted with another character and crossed back to the place he started at within the time it takes for characters he was interacting with before to have a very short conversation. It makes no sense! Don't do it!
I recommend people check the notes about powerplaying in the RPG rules thread. It's not a complete list so just think carefully before you act about whether your actions might be over-powered.
Don't ignore other players: Sometimes it happens by accident that someone talks to you and you miss it or forget about it when you come to post. However, try to stay aware of the characters nearby so if interaction takes place you're expecting it. For example, walking out of a room and failing to notice the big robot pointing a gun at you counts as breaking this rule.
Avoid excessive gore: We've already talked about this but I'm sticking it here for completion. Remember there may be players significantly younger than you, and it can discourage them to see lots of blood (or lots of swearing) when they come to post. We want the RPG to be fun for everyone.
Listen to the rules and we can all have fun. Anyone failing to comply to these regulations will be shot, and then confined to the stockade for a week.
