ooc: As Zozo said, there are no characters in this RPG that aren't owned and controlled by players. No random characters just wandering aound just for the sake of it.
Secondly, food isn't stored in the basement. That would be silly, since the place is overrun by wildlife who would eat it all. Food is stored (shockingly) in the storehouse.
It's really up to Dripik whether he'll allow your characters or not, since it's his RP. I can almost imagine the mind-reading multi-personality thing, just a bit stumped at the whole X20-crossbreed idea.
Mudosian is the language everyone speaks. So yeah.

Dionysia looked somewhat bemused at Niko. "Um... Sorry to seem rude but.... Was that Mudosian?" Before she got an answer the little scrab was being pointed in her direction. Dionysia had heard of paramites being tamed, but not scrabs. She instinctively raised a hand to cover her face but quickly, not wanting to upset the mud, moved it out as if to pet the animal, "Are you sure it's never attacked anyone?"
