Not necessarily. They are not a burden on society, don't get that into your head. I know about retarded people, not because I'm a doctor, because I have a cousin who is retarded. It depends what level of mental retardation they are stuck with, as it can come as mild, moderate and severe. Perhaps those with severe mental retardation need a lot of support, but the majority are fine. Don't ever say that they are a burden on society again.

I see what you're saying here Oddjob. But I believe if the baby about to be born has some painful diseases that will have the child in pain for the rest of its life, I couldn't bare to see it suffer. But it isn't really my place to say.
