Sam is suicidally depressed. The Shrink keeps her productive more than happy. If Sam were able to stop laying eggs, she would. Without Sam being liberated and happy, the survival of the Mudokon race depends upon the Shrink that hates Sam, and wants to escape itself.

...  I forgot my point and I'm confused...Oh well. Does anyone think we'll see all of the queens in future games/movies/whatever? Because that would be awesome.
