Dek carefully lowered the tweezers into the rib wound, using the X-ray scan as a guide to locate the bullet lodged in Anni's rib. He carefully clasped the bullet with the tweezers and very gently pulled, checking if it was too deeply lodged for simple tweezers. Luckily, the bullet came away rather smoothly, with just a minor amount of resistance. He dropped the bullet onto the top of the anaesthetic machine, instructing Arthur to get a clean jar to put it in.
"There. One bullet removed, just one to go."
