At Praetyre's words Ralph was preparing himself for a fight. He knew there was every chance he'd be beaten, but he also knew that he could give them quite a run for their money before they could subdue him, and after being spoken to like that he was prepared to take the chance. But after hearing what Dek had to say he realised the sense of it and, ignoring Praetyre's words and ignoring Arthur's "threatening" gestures (
), he answered
"Very well then. Actions speak louder than words, so if you are really as you say you are I'll be silent and let you prove it by your actions. But I am not leaving. I'm sure if everything's going to be on the level you'll have no problem with me staying; besides, I might even be able to assist should you need it."
"But you'd better hurry," he added, as Anni started fighting, "she doesn't seem too happy about this arrangement either."
