You could have been playing too much Oddworld. When I was younger, I played too much Zelda: Ocarina of Time and I kept hearing the battle music when I wasn't playing. I don't anymore. And I make sure I don't play too much so it doesn't happen again. If it is too much Oddworld, just take a break from it until you stop hearing the noises.
