I quite agree; I don't feel proud to be gay because it's not something that I chose. It would be like celebrating "Brunette Pride" or "Right-Handed Pride". My one objection is that you're acting like ALL gay people dress in drag or act camp. It's an incredibly small minority who parades themselves like that. Most just want to live their lives like everyone else.

That said; I can understand the mentality of the paraders. Many of them come from backgrounds where being gay is a shameful thing (for instance; just about any high school). So they want to be able to stand up and express themselves and not have to hide their sexuality any more.
