Evangelion is one of my many favorite Anime's so I descided to put some pictures on here.
The picture below is from the first episode where the main character called Shinji witness's a giant creature walking towards Tokyo 3. This creature is called an Angel or Shito in japanese.
In this scene, Sachiel(the big thing on the right) begins attacking the city, but before he can he is surounded by several hovering aircraft . The aircraft fire hundreds of missles at him which do nothing. He then destroys all the aircraft and simply walks away.
Through the next few minutes of the episode the army uses everything from missle filled buildings, tanks and giant missle carrying aircraft to nuclear bombs on Sachiel. The Angel barely gets scratched and finally the army gives up and descides to give full control of the attack towards the angel to Gendou Ikari.
Of course thats where Eva unit one steps in and kicks the Angels arse!
