Dude, having to inhale water because you're body is in dire need of oxygen, and then having your body try it's hardest to rid itself of all the water in your lungs, is hardly what I'd call "okay". It's probably one of the most agonizing and frightening deaths out there.

I think a shot to the head would probably be the best way to go. Quick, relatively painless, and you can't be zombified if you don't have a brain.
