I've gotten the Zombie Survival Guide too, it's very logical. I'd probably go for destroying my stairs and arming myself with a cutlass (because I do fencing, I would have a rough knowledge on how to use it, as it's basically a heavier, sharper sabre). If I had access to a gun, I'd probably use a Number 8 as it's pretty much the only gun I'd be able to use, most likely.

NINJEDIT: I'd NEVER use a car. When the zombie can average on max about 1.5 steps a second, you might aswell just walk briskly and not have the danger of running out of fuel and being trapped in a metal coffin.
It would also probably be quite useful to go to the Great Wall of China, not much will be able to get you there easily
