Perhaps because the situations that lead to a ghost-sighting (eg infra-sound or carbon monoxide inhalation) have consistent effects on different people (feeling a "presence", unexplained feelings of anxiety or dread, etc). |
That's possible, I suppose. Although, I honestly doubt that members of my family, as wel as my girlfriend, would fake seeing them
just for the hell of it. Especially my girlfriend, since she'd
never lie to me
