Here's my next promotion. This is a full promotion, and does not feature in the story at all. I personally do not think this is as good as my previous promotion which did contain scenes from the actual story. The genuine product (the fan fiction) is in the works, about half way through the first chapter.
Here's promotion number two:
ODDWORLD
How the Land-Muggers beat the Tree-Huggers
PART ONE
The Previous World
November 11th, 1084
The industrialist came close to the village, in hope to gain land to build facilities. As they reached the outer rim of the village, all units (of which were Sligs) were supplied with weapons of all kinds: Blitz Packers, batons, even chainsaws that could be used to cut down wood to stack for fuel, or even could be used in defence.
The native Mudokons knew that something was going on. There was an unfamiliar feeling in the air, not to mention strange noises that sounded like the click-click-click of a weapon that was being loaded. The Mudokons had armed Mudarchers ready at the towers.
The industrialists moved on quietly, attempting to hide the sound of the swoosh-swoosh-swoosh which the mechanical limbs of the Sligs would make.
The Mudokons could now here a robotic-like wheezing sound coming from the bushes. It sounded much like the sounds of industry, the type of the Magog Cartel.
The Sligs marched on, Bouncers, BigBros, Standard Sligs, all kinds of Sligs. They approached the outside of the village now, behind the vegetation that concealed their path. All of the Sligs loaded their guns.
The Mudokons could here the sounds of weapons being loaded yet again. Now, they could hear voices. Rough voices, which spoke of preparation.
The leader of the allotment of troops spoke; “Prepare your weapons; is all done? Excellent. Now, calibrate your weapons; is all done? Excellent.” He kept giving out orders, like a broken record, he would say; “Is all done? Excellent.”
The leader of the Mudokon village signalled to the Mudarchers and Tomohawkers to ready their weapons. The Mudarchers aimed at the vegetation, the Tomohawkers got into position.
The leading Slig stepped aside. “GO NOW!” He shouted at the top of his lungs. All the Sligs charged onwards, out of their hiding place, firing randomly into the crowds of Mudokons. Mudokon Tomohawkers approached and beat some Sligs dead with their strong, wooden tomahawks before being killed by a gunshot or a rotating steel blade. Mudarchers fired from the towers, killing several of the Sligs, and in return, the Sligs fired back, killing several of the Mudarchers.
One particular Slig wondered off beyond the village and ran for another path that was concealed by the spooce bushes and shrubs. He proceeded quickly forward and approached a lake. He noticed a Mudokon standing there all alone. The Slig aimed his gun and tightened his finger on the trigger…
As said before, feedback would be appreciated.
