Please. You can say that about pretty much any horror movie. They're all purposely filled with gore and random, nonsensical violence for a reason: it appeals to their audience.

I'm not denying there are, but it certainly mainstream'd the trend.
Watching Saw for things other than gore... That's just like watching pornography for it's lighting. Heh.
