I do not believe in ghosts, but I believe in being 'refreshed'. I do not believe in re-incarnation though. Humans carry energy with them, am I not right? And energy can't just diappear. So that extra excess energy must find somewhere to go.

I would say that it goes into the next trophic level. The decomposers and detritivores. They use it they same way we do.
