Bloody hell, guys.
Jordan_Boi, viruses are not alive. They are not living things, they are entities that hijack living cells and use the cell's own systems to make more virus. They are as alive and computer viruses are computers, and they don't eat anything. Ill people need to eat normally to keep their strength up.
Snuzi: Antibiotics are just that. Antibiotics. I know it's not obvious, but that means they fight bacteria, and not viruses. They have less than no effect on viruses. In fact, it has been liberal prescription of antibiotics when they weren't needed (as a placebo to complaining patients) that has lead to resistant strains and superbugs today.
The best thing to recommend are the classics: best rest, food, and plenty of fluids. It gives your body the strength to fight the infection itself (which, incidentally, means killing the infected cells before they die and release more viruses). Basic stuff stuff as cough drops and things soothe the symptoms, which is the best thing you can do right now. Ice water tends to help, if only briefly.
