Hmm... Well, the thought has crossed my mind, multiple times, but ultimately I figured that I'd stay to my own species.
No, I haven't killed someone for doing this to an animal, but I'm sure they do it all the time in "the south".
I don't think I'll ever commit this act any time in the future though. Don't want to be arrested.
