ooc: Just so you know, his name is Krik, not Kirk. It might have been a typing error, but you made it a few times so... It was actually a tribute to the real scientist, Francis Crick, who helped discover the structure of DNA.
Some years ago Krik was quite famous, but then things turned rather bad for him and he lost his fame and money. If you want to know more (for the sake of the story of course) you can PM me; the information is free to be viewed by all employees of the Magog Cartel (which includes everyone emplyed at Rupture Farms).

IC:
Anni smiled and Jim pointed, "There's a security tower over there, maybe Somi should lead the way though, in case there is anything dangerous. I heard Molluck was pretty nasty to his mudokons."
They started on their way.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

As Gappiqu raised his gun, Krik got the idea he was about to get a beating and tried to bring his snoozer up to point at the slig's body, but he was too slow and the snoozer was knocked easily out of his hand. It skittered across the floor and out of the vykker's reach.
And then the slig had grabbed Krik and wrapped his arms around him. He froze, thinking the slig was about to try crushing him, but then it dawned on him that he was being hugged! Clearly this slig was more insane than he had thought!

Once again, Gappiqu began declaring his love for DS-P.L7 v4 and anger flared inside of him. Things might have gotten dangerously tense inside of him if Gappiqu hadn't unintentionally appealed to the only part of Krik that overrode his caution: his ego.

"I know you have done bigger than what you did 15 years ago..."

His arrogance swelled to know that despite everything that had happened his legacy to the industrial world had not been totally forgotten, even by creatures as pathetic as sligs! That brought him to his senses and he realised threatening this slig when he himself was unarmed and the slig still had the robot's rifle was probably not a good idea.
This time he played the reasoning card. In his most cheerful voice (which still sounded like his voicebox was full of gravel) he said, "Listen, I'm sorry I have to tell you this, but you seem to have been through a lot and I don't want you to suffer more than you have to." He took a breath and applied all his psychological knowledge into making the lie he was about to tell this crazy slig believable, "You're not the first to fall for Dionysia like this. There's been a whole line of sligs that she's led on to believe she actually wanted to get to know that better, only to break their hearts when it was the most dramatic, and the most embarrasing to the slig involved. I'm afraid she was made to deceive people. Her purpose is to trick terrorists into getting killed or caught. It's developed into a compulsion to trick anyone who puts their trust in her. I know she can seem very convincing, but really, that's the point of her isn't it? You have to remember that when it comes down to it, she is an experiment, and a meer prototype at that. I think it's better to break this to you know rather than let her do it in front of everyone."

ooc: In a somewhat unrelated note, I'm close to posting the start of the story I'm writing to detail the pasts of some of omy W@RF characters: Stivik, Dionysia, Dr Krik. At the moment I've written the start of Stivik's past, before he became a Magog Cartel snoop. Once I get up to his recruitment I'll start posting.
