They then modified themselves beyond recognition, especially going for bigger brain size, hermaphroditism, and...ease of feeding. As a result, we don't need food, we just need a few hours in the light per day. Before you ask, my parents had a mutation which made my male genitalia non-functional. I don't particularly care, as I haven't met any other Vykkers worth mating with."
