That sentance implies that you're saying that it doesn't matter how many people are killed, or who is killed, or the circumstance of someone being killed. If there's no difference between killing and killing, then there's no difference between someone shooting Hitler (I know this didn't happen except for himself, just an example) and decapitating the kid next door. Actually, there is no difference between killing and killing.
Saying that there is makes as much sense as saying theres a difference between milk and milk.
It's like comparing a category to a category. Sure there are subcategories that are different to one another, but we're not comparing those, we're comparing the category...
