If Gabbits are like fish, then inbreeding wouldn't really matter. Inbreeding affects certain kinds of animals, like humans and cats. But fishs' genes are a bit different, causing the disturbition of genes to be a little different. So in theory, I don't think it really matters if the eggs are fertilized or not, the species will live on.

I was led to believe that Slegs were specifically bred versions of Slogs...is it the other way round now or something?
Apparently Slegs dissappear in SW when they bite you.
