Two years is unlikely. Lorne and Sherry haven’t yet made any film deal with Oddworld, let alone a production deal. It’ll be a number of years before we get an Oddworld film.

why did they stop making games?

Because innovative games are becoming ever‐more expensive to produce, tend not to perform well on the market, and are not readily accepted or promoted by game publishers.

2014? I'll be 20 by then, I hope I'm still a hardcore Oddworld fan... I doubt it will be going to the PS3, the 5th generation consoles will probably be out by then, and it will most likely go to Microsoft again.
