Meeches are certainly extinct, at least on Mudos. There’s the occasional rumour that some lost pack of them are discovered and moved to Cartel hunting preserves, but I wouldn’t believe them. What is interesting is the success of the South Meech diet. Methinks the Glukkons aren’t telling the truth to consumers…

What I
presume is that they are relatively rare, but still abundant to a degree in either far more remote areas of Mudos and/or other areas of the planet. The fact that Rupturefarms declarded them extinct was only within their range of Mudos. Telling consumers they existed overseas would cause them to try to buy from there, reducing profits to Rupturefarms.
And how do you know Meeches live in packs? I presumed that, but where is that defined for certain?
EDIT: I jsut noticed something...on the msot recent of the Daily Deceptions in the archives of the old Oddworld site, (
http://www.oddworld.com/firsttenyear...ption1203.html ) in the bottom right corner there's an advertisement, saying:
"Wanted: Rotund feathery fella seeks rotund feathery female for light-nest keeping and romantic, dimly lit meals. Must enjoy bein' outside and talkin' bout stuff. No eggs."
Presuming that's for Buddy, since it's next to a picture of him, does this mean you can get both male AND female 'worker class' Mudokons, as well as king and queen levels?
