I just saw Terry Pratchett's Hogfather, and it was marvelous. They got Death just right, and he was so funny.
Hey, I saw that too! High five!!! Well, I've oly seen part 1 (part 2 is taped, I haven't watched it yet), but it' been great. Death has indeed been done perfectly, my only disappointment is that Teatime is being played in a manner highly similar to Johnny Depp's portrayal of Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Choclolate Factory. Still, it's been great and very funny:

Death: My favourite part is seeing the expressions on their little faces.
Albert: Yes, it's sort of a mixture of fear, awe and like their wetting their pants.

Death: Ho hoho.
Albert; You er, need to put a bit more life into it than that sir, pardon my phrasing.


God I love the Terry Pratchett books.
