I understand where you are coming form Snuzi, but I also understand what Rex is trying to say.
Rex means that if they wish to do something they enjoy, something that isn't causing harm to others in the process, then they have a right to do so and it may be viewed as pathetic, but it really isn't. Her going and copying the stories she enjoys is the exact same thing as me obsessing with my avatars and signatures.
I see where you are coming from as well though. You see her doing this and it seems so obsessive and un-needed to you. It seems like she lives in that world she so adores and nothing else seems to matter.
But, the reason she may be obsessing aobut this thing is her own reason, but the truth is that they are probably obsessive themselves, just like I am...(woah. over-usage of the word obsessive in one paragraph...)
Well, I'm sure I didn't help with that debate at all but I just wanted to post my thoughts. [/thoughtsharing and ranting]

Something that ticks me off is narrow-minded people. (not relating to the above argument at all...) When they think their way is the end-all-be-all and everyone needs to think like them. Yeah... like some teachers and some class-mates.
Actually, you did help with that debate. You got my point across, and you understood what i was trying to say in the first place. Thanks, Arxryl

The only thing that annoys me is that I have to be overly-specific on here, like some person with OCD. I suppose that I should choose my words even more carefully, to better argue my point.

So, are we sad that we make RPG forums and Fan Corners in OWF because we feel like that the ideas of Oddworld are interesting to us, that we feel as if we can stretch our imagination to make characters that relate to that world?
Not at all. I enjoy the artwork and works of literature in the Fan Corner very much. As long as your behavior doesn't become obsessive, it's fine, in my opinion. Once it crosses that line, then it's sad.
