Well, being jewish can be considered just following the faith, but it can also be considered being a specific race if you have the right bloodlines. Same with Islam in my opinion.

Rubbish. Absolute excrement. I have jewish friends who are blond-haired and blue-eyed. I have some that are middle-eastern or African. And I've met some that are Asian.
Whilst Judaism is a religion passed on (maternally) through birth, so that someone can be Jewish even if they don't practise it, there is no such thing as "the Jewish race". People can convert to Judaism if they wish and a child of a Jewish man with a non-Jewish mother is not Jewish.
