Praetyre listened to Slap, then tried to disguise his shock at Slap's wealth. Even the Head Intern back at his cousins estate was only paid 80000 Moolah a year. Maybe Slap was an investor, maybe he was a noble of sorts, or maybe.. maybe he was just damn lucky. Praetyre replied;
"I am terribly sorry if I was treating you like a servant. But you must understand, I'm a Vykker, and an aristocratic one to boot. I grew up in an environment, indeed in a species when Intern's were largely fulfilling the role of nurses and servants. As such, this attitude has left a mark on me, and I sometimes rely a little too much on Intern co-workers. I apologise if I ever inferred you were inferior to me. I will try to put these things behind me and work with you as an equal, not a superior.
Now, on the matter of that order. I will attempt to contact our boss Arnie and request a grant. Part of that grant will include internet access and a few thousand Moolah for our yearly lab supplies. That should cover the couple hundred needed for my order. By the way, you probably need the boss to give you permission to get a portrait of Molluck, given that it's likely in his office."
Praetyre turned to his superior;
"I'll get the tube right away, sir."
Praetyre walked over to a nearby cover and opened it, taking a tube out. He layed it down on a nearby bench, and waited.
