I edited my last post with Krik so it makes a bit more sense.

Somi looked around the storeroom. It looked empty so she and Sturg took a shortcut through it and out into the stockyards.

Anni was talking to Jim about her garden and what was planted where and what she hoped to do with it, and Jim was nodding and oohing and ahing and not paying much attention, when he looked over Anni's shoulder towards the factory. "Hey, Anni, there's a paramite over there."
"And I think I might be able to get Arnie to buy me some- what?" She looked over her shoulder. "It's Somi!"
The paramite had already seen them and was running towards them. Anni reached down and hugged the paramite. "Where have you been?"
Somi answered, "I met an animal who could talk and he wanted to ask someone a question so I've been trying to bring him to you!"
Anni and Jim looked up and saw Sturg. Jim stared in surprise and said loudly, "Wow, is that a meech? I thought they were extinct!"

Krik's head began to clear and he pulled himself to his feet. "Where the hell is that slig?" He had to find Dionysia quickly, before that slig did. His head was fuzzy but he was reasonably certain of that at least. He was going to murder that girl!
