They did in a way. The industrialists marketed their products with extremely blunt descriptive names. Butt-Flo, Gum-Rot, Le Petit Tumor.

Those were just extremely minor things used for comic relief. In fact, I don't think I've even heard of those last two, and I've owned all of the OW games. On the other hand, this "Americo" is obviously going to be a pivotal element in the film, making the ultra mega lameness of the name much more relevant.
Really now. Even "Rupture Farms" is more subtle than "Americo." A lot more subtle.
