Everyone should just stop breeding for the next 20 years and adopt the orphans! Why create new when there is already a warehouse full of kids? You don't make new coffee when someone else already made you a cup, now do you?

What orphans? There aren't enough in most western countries to meet demand from parents who want to adopt.
If, on the other hand, you're suggesting third world orphans, I think that's a great idea but I challenge you to suggest how develop the necessary infrastructure to match children to potential parents, deal with the masses of red tape* and
transport parentless children around the world.
*Red tape = the big thing here. I know some people who adopted a kid from Africa and it took them years to get permission from both the American government and the country the kid came from. They wanted to adopt a second child but they've given up because it's just too difficult.
