I must agree with AquaticAmbi, although her description of evolution as a ladder is completely incorrect. There are no "steps" "stages" or "advances" in evolution, simply changes. It is the adaptation to surroundings via natural selection to bring mutations into great prominence. But otherwise, I agree. The only thing Humans are good for is as Borg drones. And tasty snacks. Mmmhmm.

Uh-huh. Righto. Evolution can definitely be described as a ladder as there are tons of branching clades (that often even look like ladders! With steps! Gasp!), and if a branching species happens to be under the right conditions to develop some specialized, more complex synapomorphies, then I certainly feel comfortable saying it climbed its way up the evolutionary ladder.
MF, must you be so.. critical of emotional expression? There's absolutely nothing wrong with saying anything, however pointless it seems to you, that expresses how one feels about a topic like this. Now, maybe you meant it's pointless to talk about something that will never change. In that case, fine. However, I still can't see how anyone would find pointlessness in my statement over finding the pointlessness of the human species acting in such manners. There's simply no excuses for some of the biggest issues of suffering and violence in the world. Our species has the power to overcome these things, but we simply... don't. It's all so outrageously pointless to have the power we have and never better the world with it. Instead we build bombs. A waste of power, time, and life.
But anyway, it'd be pointless for you to reply to something so pointless. Because it's pointless to pointlessly talk about someone else pointlessly talking about something pointless. Ho ho ho.
