I read about stingrays to see what actually did the guy in. The type of stingray that got him, the Bull ray, frequently gets 10+ feet in length and well over 500 pounds, with the largest ever recording being 14 feet on the dot and nearly 800 pounds.
The things are armed with the animal kingdom equivalent of a good rusty dagger that can be whipped by its tail a full 10 inches through a human's chest. And people are joking about this being a pussy animal, or a shameful way to go. I'd bet good money that the mother****er that took out Irwin could take any 2 board members in hand to hand combat.
