I'll point out that he is only the second documented death by a stingray in Australia's history - now that is unlucky.

Damn, that poor guy. . . But at least he went out with a bang in an almost unique way.
Anyway, I feel a little guilty for laughing over his death earlier, he was a bit insane and did many silly things, maybe he got a bit too careless this time around - After all, it's not an obvious way to die. :S But he was a good guy in the end. Did a lot for wildlife and respected it. . . Shame it got him in one of the most unlikely ways possible.
