Nice theories but they're all missing a vital point; the Khanzumers are powerful due to their wealth but what do they do to earn that cash? They can't simply sit on their collective arses all day and munch on meeches.

Hey i have an idea. Maybe the khanzumerz are all lazy snobs who just inherited money like royalty, but there's a mystery to how they got rich in the first place.
I also would like it if they were these creepy giant worm-like creatures.
But not cliche they need to be oddworld-inated, if that makes sense.
