Upon hearing that Gappiqu planned to have him shot dead, all the colour in Duagen's skin briefly washed away - but he re-gained his composure, and his colour went back from grey to green, hopefully with only Sefon noticing.
Hew briefly considered trying to jump Gappiqu, but that's about when Dionysia arrived and he dismissed that idea on the grounds that it would just get him shot now. When he heard what Dionysia said, about Gappiqu putting on an act, he was taken back to when Gappiqu was trying to just talk with him, and wondered if he should have tried to talk to the slig instead of running.
