"I don't see why not," Sefon answered, "but I'm curious to see what happens with this mudokon, so I'm going to tag along."

Then, likely to Gappiqu's annoyance, he proceeded to do just that.
He rolled his eyes as Gappiqu lied to the Vykker to get him out of the way, but he said nothing and just waited, standing not far away from him.

Groll backed away slowly, raising his rifle again at the same time. He was reluctant to attack, but he figured he could always say it was self-defense if the slog decided to attack him. In his previous encounters with slogs, he'd found out running away from an aggressive slog was a fairly useless gesture, so he thought the only way out of this was to stop the slog somehow...
