Yup. The number of American celebs who accidentally swear on British chat shows always go through 4 stages in quick succession:
Stage 1: Utter panic. The guest/victim realises that they said a forbidden word, and fear the public will boycott their work.
Stage 2: Apologising. The guest then apologises vehemently in the hope that they will be welcome back on the network in the future, and for the inevitable fine they believe they have just cost them.
Stage 3: Confusion. The celeb finds that the audience is laughing and the host is explaining that it is not a problem. The guest may well not understand the first time around; what is this crazy laid-back custom?
Stage 4: Relief. It hits home. They have caused no trouble at all, and visibly relax.
Stage 5: Freedom! They discover that they have entered a world where free speech might actually exist. After the show they will inevitably return back to the USA, not always sure why.
Optional: Stage 6. Back in the US, the celeb is laid back and has forgotten the rules. One careless four-letter word later, and BAM! They're out on their ear. Oops.
