Can you tell us how to do it ourselves so we don't need to download them? I imagine that would be some mega bandwidth right there.
But of course. I just noticed that the total sum of all the compressed videos on the very first disc is 1,17GB. It would take ages to download.

Alright, here's how you do:
Download PSXmc. Check the bottom of this post for links. It's a Playstation compatible utility which is able to rip some .xa streams and other audio formats as well as video data. Insert your AO/AE disc in the CD-drive of your computer, run the program and scan the disc. Scanning takes about 20 minutes, sometimes even less depending on the size of the data. After that, you'll be presented with a list of detected files. You can preview them and you can convert them. Leave the conversion settings as they are, but you might want to consider changing the resolution to 640x480 (The usual dimensions are about half that size). Hit the 'Start convert' button and the files will be saved as .avi files on your harddrive!

If you want to use these files to get screencaps you can extract every single frame in a clip by using Virtualdub (veedub) and save these as .tga, .jpg or .bmp images. Kind of nifty if you want to create sigs or wallpapers. Check the links below to download veedub. After you've extracted the clips using PSXmc you need to run veedub (Run the VirtualDub.exe file). Load the clip either by dragging and dropping into the veedub window or selecting File -> Open file. Then go to File -> Save image sequence. Select a directory and a format. After that, you're all set - let veedub run through the clip. It shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
