My dad originally bught me Abe's Oddysee arund the time it first came out. I think I was about 7 at the time, and we both enjoyed playing it together. My dad probably enjoyed because he used to (And probably still does) love video games. Heck, he let me play DOOM when I was just a toddler. I can assure you, I accquired a taste of games well before I became the movie buff I am now.
My mom has never been into home gaming (However, she absolutely loves arcade games, both classic and new). However, she thought Oddworld was a funny game, with some pretty whimsical stuff going on.
Fast-forward to 2004, I bring out my old Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee PC disk (Which still runs to this day!) and play it for a while. I had forgotten how much fun I had with the strategy o this 2D side-scroller. I decided to keep an eye out for Abe's Exoddus. I was disappointed to not find it in stores as new anywhere. When I was on the verge of resorting to buying it off the web (Probably e-bay), I found it in our local Game Crazy. It was used, but it only cost me 4 bucks anyway, so I bought it.
Rewind to 2002, I had played Munch's Oddysee, and it didn't have much of the stuff I truly enjoyed from the first two games, so I decided to save my money, and not buy an X-Box (Which I was surprised it wasn't on the PC).
After finding out about Stranger's Wrath, I decided to hold out until I can try it somewhere. I still haven't tried it, but I'm waiting.
When the Oddworld movie comes out, I can assure you I will try my very best to get the first showing in my area possible.
