well, I just got back from work, so I might as well continue where I left off

I was so excited, that I turned about face and started running out of the cave.
"Hold on a sec!" The flame dude said. I turned around.
"What?" I said, preparing to run.
"As a part of the whole hero thing, it says here you shall be granted powers beyond your wildest imagination" he said, in near mono-tone, as if he says this to anyone.
"Really?" I said, astonished. This was getting SWEET!!
"Oh yeah," he said.
"Well?" I said, turning toward him.
"What" he asked.
"What about the powers?" I asked.
"Oh!" he said, "yeah, about that. I don't give them to you."
"Really?" I said, "Then who does?"
"Uhh...lemme check," he went searching around again, and picked up a different scroll, he returned.
"Right here it says...Oh! yes, a mudokon priestess, Deep in the heart of the forest." and he turned and went through a wall.
"Wait!" I called after him. He came back.
"What now?" he asked, sounding annoyed.
"How can I find her?" I inquired.
"Heart of the Forest," he said, putting emphasis on "heart", "Ask Abe, he'll know" I was put slightly aghast.
"How do you know who I'm with?" I asked.
"How?" he said, chuckling, "I AM THE ALMIGHTY ODD!!" and all I saw was flash, and all went black.

I woke up at the campsite, the events of last night still vivid in my head.
"Good morning," I heard Stranger's voice, I looked over, He was there, cooking something in a pan. Abe and Munch were sitting on a log, eating some weird plants and berries. I thought about last night. Did it really happen? Was it really Odd who I spoke to last night, did I even go to a cave? I got up and walked over to where I saw the corridor.

Nothing.

'Strange,' I thought to myself. What about the priestess? Ask Abe, he said. I went over to Abe.

"hey Abe," I said, he looked up, his mouth full of berries, and juice around his lips to show. He swallowed the berries and wiped his mouth.
"What?" he asked.
"Um..." I started, getting a grip on myself, "Is there, say...i dunno, a priestess around here? y'know, in the heart of the woods?" He burrowed his brow, in deep thought. He then raised it as if he thought of it.
"Yes, yes there is," He said, "Ketais, the priestess of the wood, one of our, oh say, higher shamans, even higher then Big Face." I stood there, thinking. It either happen last night, or it was a vision. I wasn't sure.
"Hey, uh...could we go visit her?" I asked.
"Uh-uh, no can do, why do you ask?" he went back to his berries.
"Well," i said, "I don't know how to say this..."
"With your mouth," Stranger said, chuckling.
"Yeah yeah," I said, "funny, well anyway, I know it sounds wierd, but I had a vision, or something last night, I can't quite understand it, but the jist of it was that we had to go to a priestess in the heart of the forest. Let's just say it was divine intervention." I said.
"Eh, visions are nothin' but slegwash," Stranger said, while frying whatever it was.
"No, no," Abe said standing up, "I don't think this one is. I mean, he has only been here a couple days, How would he know about Ketais?"
"good point," Munch acknowlaged.
"So," I asked, "can we go?"
"Well," Abe said, thinking, "Sure, but I can't make any promises if she'll talk t'ya or not."
"When did he start deciding where we're goin'?" Stranger growled, taking out the meat and putting it in his mouth.
"Since I said it had to do with the end of the world" I said.
"And when did you do that?" he asked.
"Right now," I replied. Stranger just sat there.
"Fine, we'll go, but I still think this is a bunch of balony."
"Whatever, lets just go." I said. We packed up camp, put out the fire. And we were on our way. I was thrilled, in the least.
