I find it hard to believe that people can't discern the difference in inspiration between a Clakker and, say, a Scrab. Scrabs have a definite crustaceous feel to them, and a behaviour remeniscent of large predator mammals, but you couldn't look at it and say “It's just a damn crab,” or “It's a lion. What's to be impressed by?” Clakkers are fat anthropomorphic chickens with exaggerated hick attitudes. It doesn't matter how many feathery lumps you stick on them, they're still just redesigned poultry.

Ehh, chickens have a pretty distinct way of life that's not like other fenced animals. It's all right in front of you in the game, the hens sit on their rocking chairs as if they would sit on a nest; they are all cowards by nature; they move around between buildings as if they were foraging; and they all have whiny attitudes. Even their towns resemble chicken pens.
