Sorry for bringing an old topic back, but it seems so interesty.
Well elohim means god on hebrew and adonay means lord on hebrew, the name of the christian and jewish god is YHWH or JHWH (hebrew does not have wovels, instead they set small marks like apostrophes, so you can see how it pronounses), many make the wovels place like this: Yahweh or Jahweh,
and some make the wovels place like this: Yehovah og Jehovah.
But some jews understood the command which sound: "you most not use the name of YHWH your God in vain", as you must not pronounce the name of God.
So instead they used the word "adonay", and therefore now in the bibles and torahs are standing: "hear Israel The Lord our God, The Lord is one" and not as it was first written: "hear Israel YHWH our God, YHWH is one".
So Elohim Adonay means God The Lord.
The three letters h-i-s i rembember i have seen them on a icon with Jesus Christ, or was it I.H.S. (Iesus Hominum Salvator) (Jesus savior of humans).
Maybe it is a sublime message

(yes i have read some conspiration theorists).
