Many cheesy and awful shows do well, Doctor Who is a very polished, well produced load of tosh with some well chosen stars thrown in. Deal or no deal does execeptionally well for channel 4 and whilst I'll admit its just a pointless gameshow, I'll watch it.
Same goes for neighbours, thats pure shite, but sometimes people just want to watch shite, I watch it and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Well, if an audience chose to watch it I'd say they'd likely vote in its favor.
