Nah. VH1 is still a step above the likes of MTV (think "Next"... ugh). Granted, a very small, crumbly step that could break apart any day now. But you're right, it's gotten pretty bad. And their countdowns are always half assed, though come to think of it, so are pretty much all lists of the nature. I can't think of a bigger pile of shit than that Rolling Stone's "Top 500" song list.
In conclusion: it's true. The glory days of "Pop Up Videos" are over. Vh1 has reduced itself to another forgettable cable channel.
