I learnt something interesting about viruses; the most evolved viruses don't even affect you at all. Think about it; a virus gets into your system, multiplies like crazy, makes you sick so that you die. It's pretty stupid, evolutionarily speaking - it has to hope that you infect someone else before it kills you. On the other hand, there are plenty of viruses that infect you, spread to every cell in your body but you'd never even realise anything was different. It's one of the leading explanations for the junk DNA in the human genome.
